1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading and using Star Habit (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Use of the App

  • Personal Use: The App is intended for personal, non-commercial use by families to manage habits and rewards.
  • Parental Responsibility: The App is designed to be used by parents (Admins) and children. Parents are solely responsible for the content entered and for supervising their children's use of the App.
  • Admin PIN: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the Admin PIN used to verify tasks and manage rewards.

3. Data Ownership and Backups

  • User Ownership: You own all data entered into the App.
  • Offline Storage: Data is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your data and cannot recover it if your device is lost, stolen, or damaged.
  • Backup Feature: We provide an optional sync/backup feature via third-party services (e.g., Google Drive). You are responsible for ensuring your backups are current and secure.

4. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purposes.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
  • Use the App to store or transmit any harmful or offensive content.

5. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the App (excluding user-generated data) are and will remain the exclusive property of Star Habit and its licensors.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
